"Workin' For the Man"
For my eighth, and I hope final (we had to do 8 right?) field assignment, I created an ad for ships (ships = oil = money = power = corruption).
However, I didn't include any text at all. While this might seem like a bad thing, especially for an advertisement, the purpose of this advertisement is simply to create a basic template, upon which all the flashy advertising techniques can be added. In fact, if someone even just left the advertisement as is, and just added a website, logo and/or phone number at the bottom, it would certainly grasp the audiences attention.
My advertisement sort of mimics a really effective technique employed by apple - little text, and as a result, emphasis placed on the logo, and graphical elements of the piece.
