Using the VCR…..
This weekend I used a VCR. It happened to be the stupidest mistake. For one the video quality was so bad it hurt my eyes and the amount of time it took me to get the whole thing set up I could have gone to the video store and rented the same movie on DVD and began watching the first few minutes of it. It actually ruined my weekend and since the quality was so bad, I never actually want to see that movie again.

oh come on! you are waaay over exaggerating. First of all, if the video quality was so poor that it hurt your eyes, then I would say its the video cassette that's screwed up, or that your VCR really sucks. Either that, or you're eyes are screwed up. Secondly, it takes just as much time to set up a VCR, as it does to set up a DVD player - there are 3 AV cables for each, along with a power cable. So to set up a VCR, if it takes you as long as it does to go to the store and pick up a movie, then you have serious problems.
