The ad

I would do a reality based ad. There would be a lot of celebrities and a lot of people who have been helped by the organization. It will be a 1:30 mins commercial. There will be a mixture of depressing and inspirational music in the background. The ad will be located in a rural area. It will be different for viewers to see celebrities in a rural area. The basic idea of this ad is to be touching and inspirational.

For example:

The screen will start off with a really dark screen, then a small light appears in the middle of the screen. Then slow and sad music starts playing. The music goes from quiet to loud. Then blinking red, blue and white lights appear in the center of the screen. All of a sudden the viewers will see an ambulance driving full speed towards the tv screen. The music gets louder and more frantic. Then the viewers get to see what is happening inside the ambulance. It is all panic, and a bunch of doctors around a lady who is having a heart attack. Then it goes quiet and dark. Then the scene changes to the hospital showing the lady smiling in her bed. She says I am healthy now thanks to all of you who donated to the heart and stroke foundation. Mollifying music starts to play in the background. Then the commercial ends off with a boy putting a toonie in a donation box, which will have the heart and stroke foundation logo on it.

WANTED

CHUCK NORRIS

• Even though we realise, that you don’t find him, he finds you.

• If you fight him, he’ll just allow you to lose… so don’t.

• He CAN cut a hot knife with butter, so give him margarine.

• He can run around the world, and punch himself in the back of the head, so don’t try to run away.

• His tears cure cancer, but they don’t exist.

• He can slam a revolving door, so don’t walk out on him.

• He doesn’t have to read books, he just stares them down until they talk.

David's Package Design

Sara -Packaging

Ink
The design on the package will be printed in one colour with soy ink.

Soybean oil is made from a renewable resource (soybeans). Soy ink, unlike traditional petroleum-based ink, is low in VOCs (volatile organic compounds) which can negatively effect the environment and human health.

Material
The package will be made of unbleached boxboard made from recycled materials.

Paper is often bleached to achieve a bright white colour, however the bleaching process is harmful to the environment. Chlorine gas is a common chemical that is used to bleach paper and is very toxic. Using chlorine to bleach paper produces dioxins which are hazardous chemical compounds. Dioxins have been shown to be highly toxic to living things. They do not readily degrade and can stay in the environment as compounds for years. Dioxins build up in our fat cells and have been shown to increase the risk of cancer when exposed to it for long amounts of time. This is also true for animals other than humans as well.

Unbleached paper is chlorine free so it does not produce dioxins and other harmful chemicals.

Glue
The glue that holds the bottom of the box together will be non-toxic.

Product
The balloons themselves will be biodegradable.
